And next year that will go up by 33%. There is no way to buy yourself out of a socialist system, they own you, you work for them like a slave, and they control how much you pay them and they state what you get in return. The only why out is to buy an off-grid plot and prepare to defend it with violence when municipality officials come knocking for your payments due.

Probably because of the increase in the price of diesel.

Actually, I read their submission, and it is not at all because of diesel. They only budgeted for 1% usage factor for diesel, which is ridiculously low due to all the loadshedding we've had.

R15 billion is for clawback of previous years under recovery from the tariff. The rest is for IPP's and for a return on assets of higher than zero percent.
