Eskom Stage 3 load-shedding until 10pm

My load shedding schedule just started at 6PM. I wonder with all this load shedding if municipalities will not maybe fast track feeding back into the grid? That should alleviate some of the pressure on the grid!

Whatever... If you read official papers, two stage revolution was plotted from the beginning. They simply didn't build power plants for 20 years in preparation to a second stage.

Maybe you're fine. But people who work in the later evenings? Never mind the lack of lighting could be bad from a security point of view. You want to come home at 11pm to a dark street and a dark house?

I can't wait to see it connected. I hope it's going to do some good for the Kouga area and surrounds. I hope we see a solar farm get erected next.

Also, the speed of the project completion is mind-boggling.

• Construction commenced: December 2012
• Transportation of the first turbine component: 22 July 2013
• First turbine erected: 26 September 2013
• All 60 turbines erected: 27 February 2013
• Supply power to Eskom grid: 20 December 2013
• 1 Million man hours worked without lost-time-incident: 27 December 2014
• 1,265,065 Man hours worked without lost-time-incident: 31 April 2014
• Total jobs created: At the peak of construction, there were 602 people working on site, 45% of which were from the local communities in the Kouga Municipality.
• Transportation programme completed: 19 February 2014 – having covered over 110 000km
• Fully commissioned: April 2014
• Commercial Operations Date: 15 May 2014

I just did, it looks like 1 of the 3 phase conductors from the transformer is disconnected from the pillar box and its not feeding me and my immediate neighbor.
The pillar box itself looks like it needs to be replaced as its not attached properly to the pole as it should and the cover is not closing and swinging in the air...poor workmanship I say.
