Eskom starts load shedding

FFSK!!! How am I supposed to turn off power when I'm already at work? The last power cut took out a winding on my pool motor... I guess I'm going home to a "dead" pool motor :) Thankfully I have household cover.

At least in Durban its simple...

Claim, fight a bit, then get paid out...

If you're an Eskom customer its probably more difficult.

Durbanville is down again -yet we are supposed to be using Stage 2 load shedding schedules.

Does anyone know wtf is going on !

Hell.... The power is still on.... Must be because I turned me pool pump off...

Hope the power goes off 2morrow, would prefer getting drunk on friday...

I'm confused. City of CT site says Stage 2 on one page, and Stage 3 on another. Durbanville power still out.

http://www.capetown.gov.za/en/Pages/UpdateonEskomloadshedding.aspx

The City of Cape Town has been advised by Eskom that they have switched from Stage 3 (up to 400 MW to be shed) load shedding to Stage 2 load shedding (up to 200 MW to be shed).

The City will, however, maintain the current the schedule in order to ensure a fair distribution of the areas to be affected by Eskom’s load shedding.

So who else is in the dark, most of Midrand went down about an hour ago, I suppose early night.

We're on generator power at work this morning. Ironically there's no load shedding but a problem at one of the Ekhuruleni substations. Just lovely...

Power out in Steenberg area, Cape Town as of 12h40 :-/

and out in Midrand again..yet according to their site
Load Shedding Status: No load shedding

so just random daily power outages, hmmmmmm

ok, just an hour this time, so just a teeny outage to really try and blow dstv decoder again

We had loadshedding yesterday afternoon / night from 16:00 till 20:45
We stay in an area with businesses, so they switch off our grid to save power but scr3w the complexes on the same power grid.
