Eskom UPDATE : LOAD SHEDDING in STAGE 3

Maybe there's a gap for someone to start some upmarket residential, commercial and light industrial developments in the never-loadshedded townships. Add a twist, where township landowners exchange their matchboxes for a home in 'white suburbia'. Within 10 years the once grimy township locale will have trees and gardens. And free always-on leccy.
 
Reckon it will go from Stage 3 to Stage 4 today. Next week the national grid will collapse. Time to stockpile food, bottled water and weapons.

2 things their planning, either cut power completely off for smaller towns for at least a week,

Or start trying to buy electricity from outside sa?

Either way this is as bad its gonna be.

It's hard to fathom how something which used to be just a normal part of everyday life has within a space of a few months, become a goddamn luxury. It's ridiculous how we're slowly being conditioned and brainwashed to believe that it's perfectly normal to sit without electricity for 4+ hours a day.

It's getting so bad that when you've been sitting in the dark for a few hours and the lights eventually come back on, you get so happy that you feel like throwing a f**king party. :confused:
 
I've missed almost all loadshedding. :D

Generators at work kick in where you don't even notice the power going off, and by the time I get home, load shedding in my area has already occured. :D

According to Chris Yelland, one of BHP Biliton's smelters at Richard's Bay has already been switched off, the other one and those in Mozambique still being supplied by Eksdom.

Also, the fault at Koeberg last Sunday was the result of human error (or rather incompetence). Some oke put some scaffolding up against a transformer that damaged it.

Sabotaged? Who knows? Tell me, who has the most to gain from this ****ty Eskum situation? Whenever Eskum needs more money/outside support, they would simply order their BBE approved dumb monkeys to **** up their power stations. A mistake such as this has to be made on purpose. I guarantee that when eskum gets what it wants, it will announce that the crisis is over all of a sudden. Mark my words. Please bookmark this post because I want to be famous later when my prediction comes true. Just you watch.

I'm willing to bet you one of my healthy kidneys that loadshredding would never happen during a voting campaign course.
 
Nah, my money is on plain ol' incompetence.

But on the other hand, the ANC did actually sabotage Koeberg back in 1982 while it was still under construction. R500 million in damages and the construction was delayed by 18 months.

So it's rather ironic that they are blaming Apartheid for the current crisis when they were the ones blowing up power stations.
 
remember koeberg went down end 2005 when they blamed a loose bolt.
 
Oh great, I only checked the schedule now and we are going off in 2 minutes :mad:

edit: We didn't go down, so much for having a schedule!
