Eskom's plan to build small nuclear reactors

ANC and NUCLEAR should not be in the same universe.
Believe me, none of their international partners would allow them or their Africa shenanigans near these plants if they were chosen for contract.

If it's either Russia or China, their national reputations would be hitched to the projects.

AAAAAAnd the cashcow is in bold:-
However, energy analyst Clyde Mallinson says these reactors haven't been used commercially because they are simply too expensive.

Power stations and bombs are 2 different things, you'd not get a nuclear blast like a bomb, you'd get a meltdown like Chernoybl which would spew radiation far and wide, without the immediate vaporization.
Yep

I'm pro Nuclear i think its great.

I don't think its great when its being awarded with back-handed money and cadre tactics to anyone and their cat...

Well the thing with nuclear is it's more strictly controlled, generally unless we're talking China I guess. We should be worried about how many they bring up ;-). But also looking at the pollution coal does, nuclear is the cleanest option.

Yet, there's been an 1800MW nuclear power station, run under ANC rule for longer then it was run under NP.
Google 'Koeberg sabotage' and you'll see what a precarious life that plant has had.

We should actually just buy some of their old nuclear subs and hook them up to the grid here, they've done it before in Russia with some cities, just plug the bastards in.

Also it would look cool.
Kalishnikov Power Ships.

It's a tempting target, especially to knock out the DA. Nothing is off the table for the glorious struggle.
The DA hasn't got anything to do with Koeberg though, it maybe in the Cape but it's a key national asset.

Holding and securing political power is maybe a bigger asset to some.

Meltdown would bump off the competition.

I mean look, it's basically part of MK struggle doctrine. MK is hardcore as hell, damn.

It's like a Shart versus Diarrhoea..

I think we should go with the Koreans for this. See how successful their plant in UAE is. On time and on budget. 5400MW.
