Hey guys,

So after reading the following post: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...logies-Professional-conduct?highlight=esquire

I made a comment on the first page there, and after a while I realised my account with them was also terminated. This meant that they read that whole thread and was afraid to comment. My business with them is done! And I won't buy from them with our business accounts as well. I always thought they had good deals, but their client relations are worth nothing seemingly.

I want Esquire to give feedback on why this was done? (and I know they are reading this)

Not surprised at this. I haven't had my account closed because the account isn't through my MyBB profile. Not that I've used it for over a year, or will ever use it again.

Yeah, the bad thing for them is, I'll start spreading the word. Businesses want their relations, thus Esquire is not the way to go anymore for small companies.

Pretty sure a legal boundary is being crossed here.

The company cannot selectively choose to honor warranties (which I presume they no longer honor if they revoked your account)

They still have to honor the warranty. You just need to make sure that you keep the invoice.

And your post was hardly accusatory or defamatory. I still find it surprising every time I read about someones account being revoked just because they mentioned that company in a mildly negative context. Wonder why they seem to prepared to discard customers? It really is odd.

That's also true! They better hope my hardware doesn't fail. I'll be up their behinds like a badger with mad-cow!

That's what I was thinking as well? I was always loyal to them, always referred people them. I even commented how much I like their delivery guy! But now it seems like they just don't care. They heads have grown too big for themselves. Their customer base will decline rapidly if this is the way they treat everyone.

I would like to see this too - an esquire rep stating why they take such draconian measures; why they're prepared to shed customers the rate at which they do. It makes no sense however you look at it.

How long have you been a customer btw?

I can't even remember, but it wasn't too long ago? Other accounts are much longer, but not that those would matter anymore. I think Carrim himself are giving these instructions, he probably feels like he owns the world of consumer electronics. Little does his big head know that he's actually shooting himself in the foot.

And Carrim, I know you read this, so please leave a response to justify your actions so we all could know what is going on?

The business you gave them isn't the issue, I was responsible for 2 people joining their reseller program & I still had my account deleted for speaking out.

Just let it go & go and buy from someone else. Can you imagine the personality of someone who gets flack on a forum for their prejudice, then goes through the thread and deletes the account of everyone that commented? Do you really want to continue to give your money to such a knob?

What bothers me more is myBB's attitude. You'd think this was a pro-consumer site & there'd be a big backlash over something like this, but I guess as long as they aren't directly affected a few rand in the pocket still beats taking a stand.

Also (at the risk of losing my myBB account too :p) why no comment from rpm over this? The accounts in question are special myBB accounts, not?

Business at Esquire must be booming. If my business were booming like Esquire's, I would also chase away customers who refuse to lick my bottom LOL.

P.S. No Esquire account, so they can lick my bottom. LOL

Thing is, the only thing that's booming at Esquire is their ego!

I still want Esquire to explain what is going on? Where is that Esquire guy that was on the forum? Too afraid too take the bullets?

Sad sack those guys! A comment like the one as highlighted below makes you a "Muslim hater and you should rather support Sahara ........defamation............ who does nothing for anyone in this country" according to the Esquire principle "handling" all these issues which I believe is a senior person at Esquire.

After reading this, I'll reconsider buying from them again... I've bought there a few times and their service is great. But, this is no way to handle a situation like this.

The best person at Esquire is their delivery guy, damn that guy is friendly and happy!!! He was more excited about my package (no, we are not talking about the Mugabe thing here...) than I was! I even wanted to invite the guy in for a dop, he was so excited and friendly! If only that guy could run their business... He left me with a big smile! But, that's no way to handle a client Cassim. I hope they don't handle our business account like that.

I have proof of it!

LOL! Muslim hater! But, who owns Sahara then?

If small things like that makes them remove an account, then I don't even want to know how warranty claims are with them. Reading on Hellopeter makes you hope that you don't have to.

Think everyone needs to see this as a blessing in disguise. Wouldn't deal with esquire even if they would allow me an account after the horrible things I have not said in this thread but merely participated in LOL.
