Everytime Esquire sends through a specials sheet through for CPU's I think there is a typo, but know I'm really starting to think they really do sell them for that price - don't understand how you can make a mistake every single time on the Celeron price.

I mean, why would I buy a Celeron 2.2Ghz when I get a C2D 2.GHhz for R60 less. Am I and idiot or am I missing something here (like do you get seven cpu's for that price)?

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I think I'm starting to go a little crazy.

+1

I take it you are referring to the E3200 And Celeron 430 CPUs. Yeah the E3200 is awesome value for money.

EDIT Oh ok saw it , need to find out why there is a price difference but it seems to me due to older Mobo's that only support up to 800Mhz

Great, I see they fixed it. They didn't bother changing the thumbnail of the celeron though.

can i use that celeron on one of those cheapo motherboards? some writer lady here's pc crashed, I would like to build her one on the cheap.

Regards

I agree there. Celerons today are much more than what Celerons used to be. We all got used to the rubbish Celerons from the pre-Jurassic (pronounced P3-Jurassic) era. They've still got no clout compared to the proper CPUs, but at least they're not like the old ones which had no useful cache.
