Every consumer device today are made in China my china, even those fantastic Asus motherboards and whatever else you want to mention. Remember the days "Made in Japan"?

LoL :) with over 500 units sold between May and June and only two comebacks -One with poor workmanship and other with a dead pixel in the middle of the screen , even the best of brands do not have that track record , but a 32" LCD TV with USB port , HDMI interface and full swop out warranty @R1999 excl vat that has or had brand value is still a good deal no one can deny.

Just to let you know these units are assembled locally in South Africa as a CKD kits

EDIT: The 9470 units of Sony DVD writers and 11200 Blu Ray DVD writers we just got in are also made in china

Irrelevant. Point is, Telefunken is not Telefunken from the 80s/90s. These days, they're about as good as a "no name brand"...

That I agree with fully. The same goes for the old Sansui name brand, it used to be an excellent top of the notch product.
 
Is it just me because i cant find the telefunken tv you are referring to?
