Just to clarify, does one need an account number and a name to be able to purchase? i.e.
Account # = "MYB001"
Name = "Mybroadband user"

or should one substitute one's nickname somewhere

And the proof of MBB membership/participation is ..what, exactly? I mean, sure, it clearly would/should take someone who's here to see this thread but word also spreads by email/sms/word-of-mouth/cleft-stick, so what's the authentication procedure to verify a membership claim?

Correct, and a good question asked.

I can go masquerading as somebody else (not that I'll do it) and cause grief for somebody else.

I think the moderators (and RPM) should clear this out first before allowing this sort of thing as this might cause negative publicity for myADSL and its members.

It'd be easy enough to register an account anyway. As long as you're paying cash where's the potential for grief?

Cheques that go bouncy-bouncy?

Debit orders that get reversed?

Credit card payments that get reversed?

True but I'm guessing its just a promotion and they'll take all reasonable precautions, hopefully! Cash/Credit Card only should be relatively safe.

The title does say "Esquire opens COD account", COD has always been cash on delivery, unless the meaning has changed

as far as i know the acc # and name should be valid for you to use to purchase on a COD or basis , I dont think they will allow you buy on a 30 day acc but the best thing to do is call Midrand branch 2morrow n chk with the guys there I dont think Cape town branch would be able to tell me anyway.

Good deal there on the Mvix MX780HD DivX player @R2199 if anyones wanting one.
R700 cheaper than i've seen elsewhere.

How good is BenQ monitors... Nice price for that 22inch wide LCD...

Nice prices.

BenQ is not bad.

Remember All prices exclude vat, I nearly fell of my chair when I saw the price of the 22" I wanted to get 10! ;)

Then I saw the fine print. Anyway it still is not bad, I got my 22" Samsung for about 2500.

So how would we be able to use the account on Monday and purchase from Esquire?

Now just a quick query in respect of one of the products, what are Point of View graphics cards like? As opposed to brands like XFX? Another Q, can we just rock up on Monday and buy or do we need to give details first
