Eugene Terre'blanche murdered

Before anyone gets on my case because I mentioned "race" in the above post, I meant the implication of the word "boer", in the song. They imply "whitey".

The fact that you speak English etc., makes no difference when that song is sung.

Hmmm...they imply "the oppressor"

In black and coloured communities the police was also called "die boere" back in the day...once again it was meant "die oppressor".There was plenty of non-white police.

...anyways..go on.

I cannot believe that these guys were being paid R300 a month... who can live on that in this day and age.

In his defense, that was probably disposable income. Shelter, food, medical attention, security (no tsotsi messed with the AWB), clothing (cast-offs suitable for work) and maybe even schooling (farm schools) were all supplied. Like apartheid.

Mmm oppressor...Perhaps then, they should be killing themselves...

terreblanche' smurder had nothing to do with malema and his songs or the ANC. This is a typical case of farmer exploiting cheap labour from the days of apartheid till now, unfortunately this is how it ended.I cannot believe that these guys were being paid R300 a month... who can live on that in this day and age. These guys earning that kind of money treats it like gold so by him not paying them they probably lost it, and how do we kno for how long this has been happening.
Hmmm have you ever lived on a farm or have any clue as to what you are talking about?

Firstly, I doubt that they were being paid R300.

Secondly, its easy to sit back in your house, moaning about how unfair it is, Yet when your food prices for goods farmed in SA suddenly shoot up by 700% because the farmers now have to pay everyone of their workers 6k a month, I bet you will be the first one to jump up and done at your local Woolworths telling them they are all insane and start complaining to your local news paper.

Thirdly, what most people seem to forget, is that while most farm workers do get paid really minimum wages, they usually get free water, electricity, housing, food subsidies, and also usually some of what ever is being farmed if it is edible. In the long run, they actually end up with much more than your local cleaning lady earns in Sandton.

Try spend some time farming, before you judge people who you don't have clue about

The youngster was a casual labourer, not a full time employee.

YEP, I admire your post, but remember dealing and explaining to the brainwashed uneducated is futile to say the least. Now that SA is close to bankrupt they will learn the hard way! Let their purses do the education in the foreseeable future, then we hear them complain. As for why they killed ET, that whole story is a cover up as been done with so many other farm murders. It's a smokescreen to hide the real facts. So now it is just another domestic dispute for the statistics.

i agree, the one thing i don't understand is why so many 'black' people are still supporting the ANC,even when the ANC is the main cause for curuption, crime, murder, rape,HIV (still needs more research),and other illegal crap.

If you do find the answer you could become a millionaire! Take Zim as an example, then while you do take a deep look at it....................... admire what the SA future looks like. Malema was there to start the process of the new African extermination episode.

Excellent post.

Government should install a culture under it supporter to report case of mistreatment and not to try and handle labour disputes themselves. But sadly they are doing just the opposite by singing kill/shoot the boer.

If from what I read above from his "mother" It seems to me that he was paid to do some part time work, as in bring the cows in from the field. Almost like R300 pocket money a month for doing some chores around the house.

This are changing, its just really slow. Not a single one of the staff on my Dads farm support the ANC anymore, because they have realise that they are being screwed over more by them. I, at least once a week go chat with them to hear, their jokes about Malema.. most of which I could never repeat in public. The problem is they also just refuse to vote instead of voting against the ANC

I really cant say myself exactly what the motives for the murder are, Though I also personally think that young people listening to people like Malema on radio all day cant be doing so well.

My whole point is that people should walk in somebody else's shoes before they try and label them and say how disgusted they are. I will gladly take anyone to my fathers farm and show them that the people who work there, are actually more well off than people who work in the city, mainly because they get to spend their money on what they want, on their luxuries, because everything else is given to them

Probably the same reason that most of the people opposed to the ANC vote DA, there is no other choice. If you are black and you are wanting to find away out of the life that you were afforded during apartheid who would you vote for? They are the party that got you out of apartheid.

i may not live on a farm but believe me i pay for things that i buy without moaning, price of food has rocketed a lot but that does not mean its because farmers are paying 6k a month its just merely greed. There is eveidence that the farmers are exploiting and ripping of their workers, even if they are getting free water and lights does that = R2000 a month + the R300 they are getting? I dont think so... Most farmers are just greedy. If they were paying such a good wage how come they dont have whites working for them? Why just the blacks? This is not personal but just my view

In most cases where the farm workers were interviewed after a farm killing for news they stated they didn't know the people that attacked the owners. As there is an almost 0% arrest rate for farm murders one will never know. Popular speculation is that there are militant factions in the ANC claiming land reform is happening too slow.

I am going to stop commenting now as I have a ton of work to finish and this post isn't really going anywhere constructive. I guess the next few weeks will show us what is in store for us. Good luck to all of us.

I shudder to think what will happen in the coming years after the soccer world cup... when the world isnt watching us any more..

The plot thickens. See this, and also follow the link to the original article.

As for the kill the boer, shoot the boer argument on this thread:

Peter Makabe (I'm not sure about his surname, but he was the ANCYL prez before Malema) sang the song with the words: kill the boer, one settler, one bullet.
He was taken to court those years, and the constitutional court ruled that those words may not be sung anymore.

Malema thought, ok, lets change this then to Shoot the boer, they are rapists.
Any report on Malema singing the words: "kill the boer" are wrong, as he actually is singing "shoot the boer"

Not that there is any difference in the assumption on what is meant, one should have of the two versions of this song, as both must be assumed, meaning the same thing, to kill the oppressor. In this regard, the oppressor is any white person (settler), and not only white farmers.

Whether you were a fan of ET, or hated him, is also not the issue here. The fact is, that people of all races gets murdered violently in this country, and attacking anyone or killing anyone in a civilized country is barbaric behavior, no matter what the motivation was.

It may also be a fact, if one can believe the link I posted at the start of this post, that white farmers do get targeted, and according to the reporter of the Zim Mail, will get invaded Zim style after the worldcup2010.

The point is, that something must be done, to change the masses who voted and keeps on voting for incompetent governments like the ANC, out of their traditional ways, because most of them are also not happy, but they need a mindset change to understand that they can change things at the poll. The big problem is, looking at all the political parties, is there really a party to vote for?

I guess if you are a casual labourer who works but doesn't get paid, then your options are rather limited.

I don't know whether this scenario is exploited, just a thought.

Nelson Mandela was the one who got them out of apartheid,if he wasn't part of the anc and maybe he supported another faction then they would have gotten them out of apartheid.

The big problem is, looking at all the political parties, is there really a party to vote for?

Even if they were the best of a rotten bunch the DA would be the only real option.

They just need to lose the white liberal tag - which isn't helped by its head being white and female.
That said she and Patricia have more balls than the entire AWB together so we shall see,
