So Portugal are champions despite only having won one game during normal time.
 
Schit match, all in all. Disappointing that the French didn't really push enough

Look, I wasn't supporting them at all. But, they came through. At the end of the day, much more fancied teams crumbled.
 
Reminds me of the Greece win. Played boring football, picking up 1-0's along the way, but it turned out that's all it actually takes to win football matches and trophies.

Grats, Porras. I'd hate to be in the south of JHB tonight lol.
 
Overall a very poor and boring Euros.
Think the European countries are training their kids from a young age on how to fit into a system rather and with the introduction of the information age, most of them are closing the gap in terms of competitiveness.
Well done to Portugal though.

french should still be crying this morning. they should have walked that game. didn't the might pogba walk on water and deliver the cup then? stopped wtaching half time. first half was just the french. which makes this result even more confusing.

walk the game how? Portugal stifled any creativity or attack France threw at them, Griezmann had a few chances but the goal keeper saved Portugal - France had no luck like how Germany had no luck against them. That's the way football works. Pobga isn't worth 100m in my eyes, he hasn't scored 30 odd goals since joining Juventus - yes his won a few games but 9 goals and 16 assists last season does not merit 100m... maybe 9 goals and 30 assists ever season should warrant that price right now his only considered a 50m player

Stopped watching when CR went off.

Couldn't bear the thought of France winning so was pleasantly surprised when I heard the outcome.

Same here. Saw my WhatsApp messages and was surprised that Portugal won.
Saw the game in full yesterday though
