Natas.. I tend to agree with you somewhat. I think sometimes the world should give everyone in the area nukes and let the problem solve itself.

Yeah but what you gonna do about the problems with NK/SK, China and Taiwan, Russia and Chechnya, Pakistan and India and the whole bloody continent of Africa.

Then again they'll probaly start behaving themselves for fear of being nuked. :D

At least you're not a pacifist who would sit back and let the whole place go down the crapper anyway ;)

Well for starters if NK thought they could get away with it they'd invade SK tomorrow. Same with China and Taiwan.......

With Natas they wouldn't because they would know the consequences of their actions. With a pacifist there would be none :sick: . Countries could do as they pleased with only "dialogue" standing in their way. :rolleyes:

There is obviously a better way than both extremes thankfully.

Thats not a "better", the world has always been cr4p. If its not Greeks fighting over city states its the Mongolians committing mass genocide. While we still have major conflict around the world.. its changed its face and effect. Fighting for peace is like fking for virginity. Its not getting cr4ppier.. its doing what it always does.

There are a FEW things I would be willing to die for... one is refusing to have any religion forced upon me... I would gladly join the army to fight off any force that would have me join a religion. I LOATHE religion!! What has religion given the world other than wars and suffering!??!

The world is getting more and more complicated and we are witnessing the acceleration of history. I think the most serious threat to the world is china. Until this point, China's only interest/intention has been to do business with other countries. But in the near future they will be running out of resources such as water. this is when China will become a real and serious threat!! Forget Iran and look to China.... IMO Iran getting nukes is the worst of the world's worreis. Watch this space!!

I agree. China wants Taiwan and have increased their military budget something silly. They also seem to have found out to work with some powerful kinetic weapons.

What do you mean by Kinetic weapons? Do you mean rail guns? Rail guns rock hard!! I know the US has managed to propel a metal pellet (2 pound metal pellet) at 6 kilometres a second!!! but this speed the rail gun blew up. They can only consistently propel is at 4 kilometres a second. I would like to see something like this combat tested!!

I also like you're thinking Wiz4rd..just give em all nukes and let them sort themselves out....never thought of that!!

No, a 20ft tungsten rod from a satellite. Once it reaches 60k meters per second it becomes devastating... without the fallout.

OMFG that sounds fcukin cool!!!!! :D I would LOVE to see one of those babies in action.... as you may have noticed.... I like explosions!!! and stuff being blown up!!

I suppose tungsten is used becuase of its high melting temp and heavyness!! sounds awesome... screw rail guns.. do yuou have a source, would like to read bout it... knowing the chinese its probably got some cool sounding name like "the rod of death that falls from the heavens" or " Heavely death rod "...

Resolving the Iran nuke issue through a surgical air strike makes sense (ala the IDF Osirak raid).

Removing government officials through surgical air strikes is another thing all together. Have to have amazing intelligence assets to pinpoint the target.

The Saddam Winnebago hunt in GWI comes to mind.

IIRC the U.S. eliminated an AQ deputy leader in Iraq using a Predator UAV firing Hellfire missiles.
 
I dont have the link to the site that mentioned the rods, when I googled this time all I got was info about the anti satellite tests (for the fist 5 pages of results) so I dont know if I could find the specifics.. will continue looking....

The point, probably, is that many of those fighting Israel operate as guerrillas so they fight from within civilian areas whereas the Israelis are heavily armed, and, for example, use helicopter gunships to assassinate people.

Yeah there's never any extremists around using them as shields or strapping bombs to them.

Interestingly I was watching an interview with a Marine about Iraq and he was talking about the conditions of the battlefield and spoke of a fellow Marine who saw an insurgent pop out from behind cover holding a young child and pointing an RPG at him. The interviewer asked what did he do and he replied that the marine "took the life of the man and child. What else could he do "

Of course there always seems to be a "journalist" around to capture these incidents so the moonbats can have hissie fits at the "baby killers" :rolleyes:

I guess Noxibox thinks like Xarog that the IDF also target random civilians to snuff out with missile strikes :o

Yes I have, considering the number of suicide attacks they've had to endure you can't blame the Israeli's for wanting to build a wall IMO.
