Most boring tournament I think I’ve ever watched.

Don't think its been that bad. The Italy vs Croatia and Scotland vs Hungary games had exciting finishes.

The excitement is influenced by the third placed teams getting through. It causes teams to be more conservative to protect goal difference.

If Turkey and Netherlands both win, we're in for a powder keg of a quarterfinals match.

Looking at Englands bracket I won't be surprised if Turkey beat Austria then steal it against the Netherlands and face England in the semis. Given Southgate's luck with tournament fixtures this seems the most likely outcome.
