Total Eskom blackout danger — insurance companies calculating the costs

The state of Eskom's generation fleet has insurers worried about a potential total blackout. However, there are several short-term solutions government can implement swiftly to bring the utility back from the brink.

That is according to EE Business Intelligence energy expert Chris Yelland, who argues that Eskom could get significant additional generation capacity onto its grid within two years with solutions that don't require a lot of effort.

Or apply brain: remove anc and current political system.
But lets continuing pissing against the wind. Right.

Chris isn't the smartest tool in the shed though. If only we could let him know that and that his bs is being aggregated on mybb.

He kinda is.

Basically: Trying to procure more power short-term can't work because there will be corruption. Even suspicion of corruption (which there will always be now) will cause stuff to get stuck in court for years.

Or if there isn't corruption, vested interests will have it stuck in court for years.

Ergo, go for solutions that don't require procurement.

They let Chernobyl blow because no-one dared speak out..

There is a reason democratic principles bring about better life for all, while centralists destroy countries, especially if they're as corrupt & incompetent as ours.

Kinda just doesn't cut it. You can kinda speak out about rape or you can actually do what must be done. Until then it is just nothing more than half-cocked look at me. Any one can sit on any stoep and kinda say something kinda smart about eskom or the government.

Nobody is interested in plans from eksdom nor the anc.

South africans have to resort to make a plan themselves via solar etc

Article has a title like "Total Eskom blackout danger — insurance companies calculating the costs" and then proceeds to not say anything about insurance companies calculating the costs.
