This sucks. Because they have all kinds of stories and I have a brand new laptop(1 month old). That they refuse to replace or refund and all their replies to my emails have been passive aggressive to outright snotty. And I have to make legal threats now which they seem too retarded to understand and they doubling down now on that they refuse to replace it. I sent it back to them and they said they found "no fault". I wouldn't have sent it back if there was no problem.

I never knew it was this bad.

But I have contacted Consumer Complaints and the Ombudsman. So hopefully there is a resolution to this. Evetech seems like utter scum.

Never knew they were a bad retailer. And read the forum from time to time but rarely post
 
Evetech is great, fantastic maybe even awesome....

...for their website that is.

Love browsing through all the goodies to get an idea of the prices (as a benchmark) before hitting the other stores for comparison. Their site reminds me of prophecy.co.za (omg how I miss those guys...).

Seen firsthand how they operate - let's just say, unless you have a friend or a cousin working there, prepare for trouble...

Bought from them a few times.
Water cooler received faulty - they replaced without hassles.

what brand?

they tried the same stunt with my wifes MSI laptop , i took it to partserve with the Evetech invoice, and they sorted it with no issues

It's a Lenovo. I have had numerous Lenovos and I have always been happy with them. Problem is that I do not live near a partserve or even remotely near one. So I unfortunately can't just in a car and drive there.

Worst thing is Evetech telling me that they tested it and found no fault. Who in their right mind would send something back to the retailer if it isn't faulty?

I have contacted the ombudsman and consumer complaints and both said it's not lawful what Evetech is doing. I sent them all the details regarding the situation. Hopefully something gets sorted.

Thats a pity, i honestly would arrange with Partserve to ship it in, they really are an awesome group to deal with. I would honestly call your nearest branch, and have a chat with a service person and discuss options
 
When will people learn... do not support those pakistani guys at Evetech. Buy from Wootware or similar.
 
Will definitely get next machine from ExcaliberPC or Amazon. Asus give international warranty and the prices are way, way lower there, like at least 30% lower after tax and shipping.
