On Cape Talk / 702 today they discussed the reasons people have sex. The sexologist lady (Dr Eve) said that one of the reasons women have sex is to protect their men from having sex outside the relationship and preserve his genes for her offspring. They also said that men have sex to spread their seeds but that both are survival of the fittest instincts.

They seem to work against each other. I'm not convinced she's right. Wonder what your thoughts are.
 
I've never had sex for any gardening purposes. I just thoroughly bloody enjoy it...

That's ****ing bull****. Sex is used as a reward/punishment. **** relationships.
 
Animals do it because it is instinct, humans on the other hand do it because we LIKE it (a lot!!). If you get lucky you get a child, if you get more lucky you don't get a child.......it's not instinct....it's friggin Russian roulette!!

There are some seriously ****ed up issues towards woman being displayed here. If your woman wasn't faithful chances are it was your failing. Deal with your issues. Theres no shame in going to a therapist. Another reason woman have sex is that they're lucky enough to be with a man who knows how to make her orgasm. Learn how. Sheesh.

Oh god. Always the guy's fault, hey? :rolleyes: If a guy cheats, he's a skirt-chasing pig, 'and all guys are the same', but when a woman cheats, it's also the guy's fault? This is utter bull****. And the ability to make a woman climax is NOT what's keeping her faithful. ****. :mad:

Usually because the opportunity is better for her elsewhere .... more money, bigger house, better life, more cars, more drugs or simply the fun juggling two or more guys.

Of all the snake-oil healers that exist today, Im OK with the sex-healer kind. In fact it might just have some basis in truth and I'd be prepared to give it a shot.
