I know fiber in cashan area is live but most of rustenburg cbd and surrounding like north still need to be done. Im in East end and wondering this might take 1-2 more years.

Oos einde has been covered and live for a couple of months now, same for most of cbd and rustenburg north.
Only parts of rustenburg that aren't live are tlhabane, zinniaville and karlienpark.

You've tried contacting an ISP to place an order right?

Spoke to OS tech regarding this, he mentioned all the equipment are there but halts by the council. And there is no time frame on how long this will take.
FNO really tries to take the areas it seems. But there is no signs of evotel of any sort in zinnia or karlienpark.

Evotel rep might have some more on this.

Most of the build was completed earlier this year.

Which area in rustenburg do you reside in?
Hi there. Yes, this is correct. Our build was largely completed and should be live. I've messaged this user as well just to see what's happening here.

No signs of any work or trenching of any sort in Zinniaville. No idea how long this will take to go live.

Thought you were in oos einde?

Anyways, rustenburg's municipality is quite strict with the amount of areas you can simultaneously trench in a certain time span so it'll probably be a short while.
It normally takes 2-6 months from time of trenching to going live.
Send a PM to @EvotelZA since they can give you accurate info.

So I discoverd that evotel would be unaffordable network provider although they already planned to layout fiber in our area.
As most of partner isp prices are way too high like 10mbps is around R600-R650 where afrihost/openserve offers better deal dsl for same line speed for R400. I would be more interested if OS exchange could provide more than 10mbps max supported by exchange.
