Excel gurus for electricity consumption tracking

I need a excel spreadsheet to track my electricity usage, in KW or Rand value and per date....anyone help me out here

locally 1 rand buys 1.7 kWH

what do you guys pay ?

we get R30 worth of electricity free per month ~ 50 kWH

Do you have a meter to monitor how much electricity you are consuming?

yes

it is one of those meters the prepaid ones

Kw amount begining of month
+ kw bought
- Kw end of month

=consumption, convert kw to rand = rand consumption.
You dont need a spreadsheet just your fingers and toes mostly.

I don't get what you are trying to achieve here? Prepaid meters are pretty tamper proof so you can't interface with it directly to automatically create a spreadsheet for you.

Naturally, where did I say I want to hook into it?

As Vegeta says, you have to manually record the KW values every day and physically enter them into a spreadsheet. Then just apply you local tariff to get the rand value.

Thats what I wish to do.

I just thought someone had a spreadsheet in place they could mail me.
