Ok i am not a exel fundie like being able to program amazing macros that can launch a space shuttle from excel, but do use it, but i can't figue this one out.

Went to a client and installed a new printer, now when he prints a quote sheet out along the right hand side of the printed page there is a thick dashed line, the the gaps in the line seem to only be where there is no text or cells formatted or present on that line. for example

ScoobyDoo
xyz street
tel 555 -555

cell1
cell2
total

now from ScoobyDoo through tel 555-555 there is a solid line on the far right side (only after printing on the actual paper) then after that between tel 55-55 and cell1 (the spaces) there is a gap in the line on the page that i print and then it continues next to the cells.

How do i get rid of them? is it a formatting issue?

P.S i tried printing other stuff from excel and word and it doesn't happen so pretty sure its not a printer setting.

probably has something in the cells somewhere.
try remake the whole sheet from scratch. copy only the necessary cells over with the formulas inside.

Could be to do with cell borders...

I don't have excel on this machine so these instructions may be a little off, but if you right click in a cell that has the line to one side of it (you might have to check two adjacent cells), select 'format cells', select 'borders' tab and then check if any cell border has been specified, you should be able to sort it out

Select the whole sheet, and remove all borders. Now add only the borders you really want.

Are all those rows/columns there (count them)? You might find a set that have been made like 0.01mm wide all pressed together?
