Hi guys,

I want to create a legend sheet in excel and then I want all my data in a lot of other sheets.

But the legend sheet will then indicate values over for example 10 and it should be a green colour, values less than 9,9 should be red.

Then in my other sheets when entering the data in columns referenced in the Legend sheet the colour should automatically change.

Can somebody please assist with this ?

I think you can use conditional formatting for that.

Thanks for that guys, but how do you apply conditional formatting in the "Legend" sheet so when data is entered in another sheet the conditional formatting will apply ?

must the color of the cell change in the Legend sheet or the other? If in the Legend, then the conditional formatting formula for that cell has to reference the cell in the other sheet where you enter the data

Legend values are absolute and shouldn't change. But when the data is entered on another sheet's cells then the cell should change to that specified in the Legend sheet.

Set conditional formatting on your legend sheet the way you want it to display in the rest of the workbook.
Select and copy the cells for which you’ve set the conditional formatting options.
Thereafter select the columns/range where you want to apply the formatting.
Use the paste special function and select the formats option to apply the format.
