Excellent Internet quality testing tool

I found an excellent internet quality testing tool

In addition to testing throughput, it also tests the latency as well as the latency under download and upload loads (bufferbloat)

Probably the best way to establish to "quality" of the internet connection's consistency and responsiveness.

@Jan , time to update your speedtest utility to sort out the ok from the excellent providers.

Nice, I've been using dsl reports for a similar result set.

Then pick fiber (well if you have) and that will also give you your line grade.

Untangle firewall with i5 16gb ram .
I might have a small i5 PC available soon. Mind sharing your technical config? without any passwords and personal IPs of course. If not, got a guide I can use as a starting point?

Last time I played with untangle was a good 10+ years ago. And by played I mean as in not within a live environment.

Mones very straight forward, mainly donr default config, wan I.p and dhcp lan. Company dont want to buy the fancy apps :(

I do stuff setup like VPN and qos for teams, but very basic setup

Seems like a weird test once you get into the high speeds (1Gbps or more), since at that point the odds of saturating your up or down is less likely. Heck, my PC is actually the only device on the network that I'll even allow to go this fast. Or perhaps I'm just salty having scored a C :p

True enough. But I can see windows update or steam saturating a gigabit connection.

Interesting site.
I went from a B, 3ms, with +10ms DL +58ms UL
to
an A, 3ms, with +10ms DL +10ms UL just by turning on standard 802.1p QoS with 100,000kbps managed upload on the shtty Zyxel that WebAfrica supplies.
