Exchange server experts

Thanks PsyWulf, apparently the support company has brought in an "expert".

I will give you a shout if a third party assessment is required - I personally don't trust these guys. The company is in the Randburg area.

Not a problem,my bread and butter is cleaning up messes ;)

Hi There,
Ignoring the digressions of alternatives to Exhange, You can consider organisations like Dimension Data and Bytes to assist you.
Your client if happy with exchange may be very reluctant to try an alternative but prefer to fix the problem.
If they did not want to have the Exchange on site then they should consider some of the Microsoft cloud solutions that are starting to roll out in South Africa.

Regards and good luck

Tim

Just contact MS or an MS Partner, it is not in your interest to try and replace your Exchange environment with any of the Open Source products mentioned. Exchange has a 65% market share for a reason, if you really need to go hosted solution rather look at Office 365 which is also leading Google Apps by far when it comes to the enterprise market share.

This coming from someone who develops for and works on open source software and operating systems daily, but when it comes to enterprise mail Exchange is doing it right.

Based on the minimum info for a diagnosis, sounds like a Exch upgrade was performed or an additional exchange platform installed ( new hardware ) in an existing enviroment, plus poor user account migration ( missing primary smtp's ) = mail failure, new additional SEND/RECEIVE connectors missing or incorrectly configured between the 2 platforms.

So many theories, better is you provided details, easier to diagnose.

Ive been shifting my groups aquisiations to our exch 2010 enviroment for the last 2 years, exch 2003/2007 to 2010 and now doing qmail and zimbra platforms into exch 2010, no major issues, business continuity all good ! Shout if you need help.
