I have now been waiting since the 30th of December for eXpansys to refund me an order that I paid for on the basis of their site stating that there was stock available. After I paid, I received an email saying "sorry, not actually in stock , supplier says 3 months...). Immediately replied and asked for refund.

Here's the irony, I ordered the item in question from an ebay seller, it cost me a third of what I paid eXpansys (including shipping) and I received it within two weeks.

eXpansys is a big, fat FAIL!

Have used them before -- typical SA retailer; sky high margins and so so service.
I recommend for any online purchases that you verify stock availability and shipment dates / delay prior to payment.
 
I order 2 specific phone covers I wanted but couldn't find locally, it took as long the site said -something like 35days; insane.
A colleague ordered the same item a few weeks ago and is still waiting, crazy lead times with no status updates...

I also had bad experiences with them, definitely one to avoid. IIRC, it took me about 10 emails and 4 months to get my order out of them...
 
I ordered a Buffalo router from them, since they were the only ones importing them at the time.
It took a long time to arrive, but I knew that from the start.

I hope you get your refund...
 
Yip, I been through the same with these chumps trying to get a refund for a faulty product. Happened December 2010 too and I've bought nothing from them since...
 
Fuking expansys ****ed me over big time. My sgs got bricked by firmware upgrade. I sent it in april 2011, nothing happes for 2 months. then I ask, what is happening, they say: oh yea um.... then they say my phone got waterdamage and it is no longer fixed under warranty. i call bull***** they just want to get out of repairing this. they then send it to france and they say it has waterdamage and must replace mobo. this is around november. now Jan 2012, they say it is unrepairable and they bringing it back to me to i can claim insurance and some crap. My phone wasnt insured. This is now 9 and half months later, i still don't have the phone and it still brikced. they are fukc!king useless.

They used your phone to repair another, now yours will have water damage!

Yes. Returned and filed the RMA on the 12 of January 2011 received refund on the 27th of March 2011. A bit of a headache to say the least. Have not bought a thing from them since and neither shall I. There are alternatives.

Their approach to customer service is one of a company that resents the inconvenience rather than relishes it.

This company has made mistakes in the past, but it looks like they are continuing to make the same ones over again. Time to go to the CPA and at least notify them in case more crop up.

Basically these guys are just on the back foot al the time..
 
Received kak/no service from them too. Ordered a Kindle Fire cover, almost 2 months later I received a mail saying theres no stock. When i go to their BOB homepage, it still shows that they have stock of the item. Sent me details for a refund 2 weeks ago, will see when/if they pay out.
 
If you ever order from amazon then I have found going direct is best. If you arent willing to keep track of it and dont want the hassles then takelot.com have a us and uk amazon service that has worked well for me in the past with decent turnaround times.
 
Yeah, they crap.

Waiting for a pouch from their UK branch. R100 cheaper then anywhere locally but been waiting since the 23rd of Feb...

Malakies...

Ordered another one of the same covers direct from Switcheasy on the 6th of March, it's shipped from HK and is due to be delivered today!! Paid R230 vs R128 though...
