The site seems legit. I really don't like the idea of paying a whole lot of money online buying lithium batteries when I don't know the business personally or they have a showroom I can walk into.

What kind of experiences have you good mbb people had with them?

Tx!

EDITED: Iffy Some iffy info, but overall looks legit, as enough info is legit, and enough visible history online in social media and otherwise to show its legit.

More details in my posts below this.

Livestainable (Pty) Ltd

Co Reg#: 2018/297876/07
VAT#: 4340293069
298 Issie Smuts Street, Garsfontein, Pretoria East, 0026, South Africa

Google View says:

298 Issie Smuts Street, Garsfontein says its Wave roofing. So I'd avoid.

Got my Ratel mini ups dc from them which went ok except for the part that I had to remind them to actually ship it.

Is hosted in .za though.

nslookup livestainable.co.za

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: livestainable.co.za

nslookup 156.38.250.9
Non-authoritative answer:

9.250.38.156.in-addr.arpa name = dedi1050.jnb2.host-h.net.

Registration has been around for a while too. -

Will have a look at the company registrar site see if it matches. The registration is 2018 though (allegedly) and the site was registered in 1990. And registrar details changed in 2020. So i suspect registered, in 1990, someone didn't pay, and scammer took over in 2020.

How does this help? Do you reply "the movie writer stole a car" if asked how the movie was?

Takes a bit of time to do research, and the first post I made shows that the address for the site says its another business.

I'm still looking up more info.

Phone number is associated with livestainable, not other sites, so thats good 086 142 8711

[email protected] is another email, although now they're using outlook.com for their @livestainable.co.za emails.

My only concern is the addresses - the 298 Issie Smuts Street is another business, plus its residential.

Other (historical) addresses for this company are:
186 COROBAY AVENUE, WATERKLOOF GLEN, 1ST FLOOR, GLEN FORUM BUILDING, PRETORIA EAST, GAUTENG
35 Richardson Avenue Mindalore, Krugersdorp 1739, Krugersdorp, Gauteng, South Africa.
198 Mat Avenue, Pretoria East, 0026 ZA

Haven't checked what those are.

And @Herr der Verboten doesn't hurt to recheck things, as quite often scammers will take over a dead existing site.
Doesn't mean that if in the past it was legit, it will continue to be.

Always good to ask.

PS - I've found debunked and removed several scammer sites in the past, which you can check through my history on here, so don't be a prick about someone doublechecking things. Its literally what the op asked - is this legit.

Doing detective work to check it is part of that process.

@impracticaldogg - looks like enough things match for this to be legit, as scammers don't usually go to these lengths.
Make a small order first though and test just to be safe.

I've ordered from them. They are legit but bad with communication.

In my particular case they didn't ship my order out as they were still waiting for an item, it would have helped if they told me this, or at least responded faster when I eventually asked. But they have good prices, so it's a trade off. (I suspect they keep prices low by having a too small admin team, hence some issues)

Their website is down - have mailed and hope they get back to me. Their prices are good, and I don't trust Takealot much. The last time I ordered a cell phone from Takealot it turned out to have completely different specs to those advertised, and they are quick to shuffle off warranty enquiries to the manufacturer even just out of their own warrant period..

i ordered from them off bid or buy i think it was .had no issues EDIT all listings are now closed .

excellent pricing is sometimes a warning on its own
