Experiencing a problem! Are you? (Telkom)

Today i'm having this issue where i cannot access some websites or the pages are loading extremely slow.

I did a speed test and its 1.75 (i'm on the 2mb line uncapped) so everythings fine with the speed.

i tried accessing my.unisa.ac.za and it says "The webpage is not available" and same with some other websites so then i tried on my mobile phone and same thing.

I then switched to my phones data and tried and it works!

So its the wifi/adsl issue, its strange because facebook.com , mybroadband etc works but slow.

any ideas?? i'm concerned more because i have stuff to submit online at myunisa
 
anyone with some suggestions? its the important websites that i cannot access too
 
Still not working for me and i did clear my cache

also pages are loading slow.
 
I even tried with FireFox as well and same error

It has to be my network because on my phone i tried with the wifi and it didnt work but when i used my mobile data it works.
 
What AV are you using? Maybe disable the web protection for a few minutes and then try to reach the unisa site...

Same with firewall - check settings. I do not advise disabling your firewall !!
 
It's not your network it's UNISA, there's a notice on their home page:

but thats the problem, its not only unisa that cannot open....

There's other websites too and the pages are taking extremely long to open such as mybroadband
 
i have no idea whats the problem but its surely my network with the speed of pages even though i'm getting it 1.75 which is nothing wrong with that BUT also cant access certain sites. i PM'ed the telkom rep here.... still no reply
 
not cool and very frustrating when you have work to do and deadlines...:mad:
 
I can not get to Telkom pop3 server .

Yes i'm using Telkoms one

I would like to try and change it to see if it makes a difference but not sure what DNS servers to use
