Explora connected via Wifi dongle

Hi All

I have setup my new connected Explora decoder and must say I am very dissapointed with the current content on the device. It also seems that the codex which they use are not great as 22min series was around 350mb but its quality was not that good.

What are others feedback? I know its early days but I guess I hoped for more.

I connected mine via LAN, but didn't quite know how to access stuff on the device.

In fact I didn't know what to do once I connected it. :)
 
In Help options you can check if its connected to internet, then just push catchup button twice.
 
I just connected my Explora using the free MWEB range extender as Wifi dongle no problem and set a recording from my phone.
 
I cant seem to connect my dongle to wifi, im not sure what the problem is but I've tried everything. I have a netgear dgn2200 router
 
One thing I picked up is that it only works with WEP encryption and not any other forms.
 
Do anyone know where I can see what type of series can I download. Do not want to get the adapter and there is nothing worth watching
 
I need some help, having some issues with the wifi connector. The connector manages to connect to my wifi network (did the manual setup) but does not connect to the internet. Any setting I need to change on the router for it to work. The connection checker on the Explorer shows that i am connected to my network but not to the internet.
 
Make sure you enable CatchUp Extra before you do the check. I had exactly the same problem and, once the option was enabled, the check succeeded.

Just ordered mine - had some eBucks not being used... Anyone care for an update?

Was it worth the purchase? Is there a much better variety available through the Wifi dongle?

Oh - and how is the streaming quality? Do movies lag much, or is it similar to streaming Youtube/XBMC etc.?

Would appreciate some shared experiences!

It's not streaming real-time, downloads the entire file to the Explora which you can then watch as per usual.

Haven't used it much so no real feedback on better variety being available, just that there are series and movies for download that do not appear on the normal CatchUp list.

Thanks. Should be getting it mid-week, will pop something up when I've given it a go.
 
Please surprise – Takealot promised delivery on Tuesday, and it arrived today! :D

Will have a go at things over the weekend. Setup seems simple – really hope I don't need to go the manual route, and have to connect it to the pc/router etc.
 
Hi I bought vodafone wifi router. I would like to connect my Dstv Explora via router. Is it possible or if must only use dstv wifi connector? Please help
