Lightning strikesSafe for what?
mine fly at a solid 90MbpsYes indeed, I hadn't realised that. Some reviews mentioned that on Takealot but the most prominent one has an issue with the wireless only giving him 25Mb. I'm pretty sure it was a him problem but due to the prominence of his review, you'd swear the issue lies with the E4s.
I got my Karen on and reported the review as false/misleading. Pity there wasn't a text box where I could describe the issue further.mine fly at a solid 90Mbps
String up a supporting galvanised cable between the two houses with rawl bolts and tensioners. Then you can run an ethernet cable over the cable and cable tie it (it mustn't be longer than 100 meters total length).
Feed the ethernet cable into the roof between the eaves. You can get exterior ethernet cable that is protected against the weather and sun from Scoop.co.za.
I'll take a photo of my setup tonight, it's very neat.
You can buy outdoor cables that are UV shielded or even ones that are "armoured" that you can directly bury. I'd use conduit where possible though.Do you get external ethernet cables or do you need to buy a cable protectors ?

Random example from Scoop:
Scoop 100m Box Cat5e Outdoor FTP CCA Cable
Stay away from CCA like the cable above though.

Where are you based, I still have a roll in my garage. Can give you 15 metersYeah only looking for around 15m, otherwise I guess I could just route internally with a slighlty longer route and tape. Only a temporary solution for a few months
