Extending WiFi Range

Hi guys

I would like to extend my wifi range to a buddys place about 50m away. Here is what we would like to do

1) Share files
2) Share Internet Connection even though we both have ADSL
3) Play PC and Xbox Games over the network

What hardware do we need to achieve this?

Get 2 outdoor AP's set them up in bridge mode the best solution. You can olso try outdoor antennas if you can unscrew the indoor antenna from the AP. make sure you have line of site.

Dead easy. Did this last year.
Buy a an Airport Extreme
Buy an Airport Express (or multiple) to extend the range.
Setup is literally a one click affair

I would love to buy apple products but im sure I can do it cheaper!!

Which access points would you recommend. I was looking at scoopdistribution.co.za but the link does not work anymore!

You can jerry rig a pringles box to act as an antenna booster, works quite well.

I use Cisco but most outdoor AP's will do.

Zyxel AP avail from RECTRON, I used 3 of these to cover 2 properties.

Interested so i can extend my wifi range within my house.....current telkom Router wifi signal doesn't reach my tv room

It does AP/Bridge/Repeater etc
