I am trying to extend my WiFi coverage to a second dwelling on our property.
Distance is only 41m, but all perimeter walls are cavity walls. Buildings are in clear line of sight.
I am using a TP Link W-8970 router. I have tried using a Ubiquiti Picostation M2 HP plugged into the router to extend range from the main house, but obviously the devices themselves, laptop and phone do not have the range to transmit back from the second house.
Any suggestions would be welcome as running a cable is out of the question.
I was thinking of buying M2 Nanostation and using that outside the main house and directed towards the second house, where i would place the Picostation. I just can not find any information if this will work or not!
Thanks.

Something like this:

<router house> -Antenna--> <--Antenna-<router other building>

LAN out of the question as area all paved

Would this be something like a lightbeam? And then how would I couple the second router?

As per Slootvreter, use two of those NanoStation M2 things in bridge mode on either side of the link.

Then each router provides wireless or wired connectivity for the devices on its side and they communicate via the wireless bridge.

How do I connect to the second router? And are there settings I need change?

Thank you, I will give this a shot. I have a wifi modem in the second dwelling, will the devices use that or connect through the M2?

I'd imagine they would connect through the Wifi on the modem - but I'm not 100% sure, I've never setup something like this before.

Just a report back, thanks for the advice. Got 2 M2 Loco nanostations and a wifi router in other end.
Perfect signal transmission and all working well
