I am about to paint the exterior walls of the house. Currently have Dulux weatherguard on and painting company has quoted for paintcor elegance.
I'm quite happy with the Dulux, haven't seen/heard any reviews of paintcor.

Anyone have any experience with paintcor ? Is it worth it to insist on Dulux ?

Plason Wall and All. More expensive. But coverage is insane. Block-out of shades underneath is excellent. Washes well.

I somehow believe that you end up being close to total cost of a cheaper paint.
And it lasts longer. Longer warranty too (not that I think it will ever be honoured by companies anyway)

I trust my mom implicitly with paint. She was impressed with Duram both inside and outside.

Surface prep is as important as the paint itself to ensure a good bond, so definitely worth a high pressure wash to clean and get all the old flaky bits off.

Dulux Weathergaurd is a textured paint.
You should only overcoat with a textured paint.
Plascon is very good but grossly overpriced.
It has no quality advantage over Dulux, or Prominent, or Universal etc, when comparing apples to apples.

The Paintcor paint mentioned, is, AFAIK, a Matt, i.e not textured.

I'd suggest using Dulux Weather Gaurd again.
Or Prominent Texture Coat Premium.
