Extra panels or Solar Geyser?

I really appreciate the feedback ladies and gents.
I have no doubt that usage can be optimized. I think the biggest issue is running the aircon through the night. This is unfortunately non negotiable.(wife)
One of the adjustments I was thinking of was to change the geysers to "essential." This would allow me to run them during loadshedding straight off the PV when the grid is off.

Then panels aren’t going to do Jack ****.

You need more batteries.

Have you got smart controllers on the geyser at the very least?

Mine run from 12:00-18:00 and it’s a non-issue where I don’t have enough load to keep my panels going and I only have 6.3kwp.

A usage graph will be informative as well.

Is your inverter set to use battery before Eskom? Running aircon overnight will therefore draw from Eskom, no matter how much you've got in your battery.

Had the same problem as the OP

Got a PTC geyser element from Geyserwise
2 x 455 watt PV panels
Geyserwise ECO controller

Works really well

Company said that they could run as many as 36 panels.
Think I will look at a few extra panels. Appreciate the help. Thank you.
Think the company is lying @AchmatK @RonSwanson @Speedster can likely confirm that you system probably can't do more than I think maybe 2 to 4 at max. An 8kw inverter cannot handle 36 panels... Unless I'm missing something here.

I'm not running out of power. Just want to get to place where I pay Eskom even less
If you're trying to go off grid then you'll want to be able to store 4 or 5 days worth of power in your batteries. And a backup generator.

I fully understand that I can only generate 8Kw, but want to generate 8Kw for longer during the day. At the moment, max I get is 6.8 from 12:00-14:00. Would like to be able to produce that from lets say 11:00-15:00.

Can anyone possibly explain how I can copy the data off the Sunsynk app?
I can see where to view all the data on a month to month basis. Not sure how to share it though.

No. No. No. You don't understand you will actually blow up your system your installer knows Jacks if they said you can put 36 panels on an 8kw that's why I called in @RonSwanson @AchmatK @Speedster they will confirm this

I can tell you I am happy to pay eskom 8%. to go off grid your system will never be enough. That's lifestyle changes that simply don't make financial sense when you already running a system this size.

It's a dragon some ppl chase but after a year I realized I was silly and decided no addition to my system could be justified. A forth battery could work nicely on yours tho I have 12 panels but 4 batteries and work beautifully.
