Telkom's failure to cope with demand for its pricey ADSL offering

I do not see any reason why Telkom should lower their prices if there is so much demand that they cannot cope with the orders?

Telkom can go to Hell(kom)!

<rant> Yes, they are being total a-holes in denying me an ISDN to ADSL self-install conversion. I ordered ADSL self-install on 13 November only to be told on 11 December I cannot self-install because it's an ISDN 'conversion', so now it's pay R437.50 (blatant extortion) to have ADSL by 29 December, or go to the back of the queue if I want to avoid the charge by ordering ISDN cancellation separately and then after that is complete, then ordering ADSL self-install! </rant>

Is there a possible justification for the competition commission to get on the scene with all the Vodacom wheelings and dealings of late? They are getting their fingers in too many pies...

Telkom doesn't care to offer customer centric service because chances are we will just give money indirectly to them via Vodacom!
