The beauty(!) of Felipe's contract is that he is contracted to Ferrari till 2010, but not contracted to drive...

Fernando can move at the end of this year if he wants and it's also no secret that Luca di Montezemilo (Fiat top dog) rates him highly, but I don't think he'll want to be equal to another driver in a team. He wants to have his number one status and that's not likely to happen at Ferrari anymore.

yea but stealth

look his options:

1. stay with Renault and fight back markers
2. stay with them in the hope next season they have a good car while fighting back markers
3. move to ferrari

im sure he would take no 3 in a heart beat

its only been 2 races but massa is under major pressure, going to interesting to see how he reacts

France, Britain, Japan (especially) - 2005

Belgium - 2004 (A season when MS & Ferrari was unstoppable)

http://www.formula1.com/results/driver/2004/12.html

Japan - 2003 (Thanks to Rubens, he didn't win/draw the championship with MS)

As I said, over rated... Hakkinen and Coultard have won more races for Mclaren than Kimi has... 2005 Ferrari was rubbish, so no kudu's for Mclaren and Kimi there...Not a single win for Kimi in 2006 and only 1 win in 2004 and only 1 win in 2003 and 0 wins in 2002!!!!

"I always try to be in the best car," Alonso said. "I'm at Renault now because I wanted to go back to winning, like in 2005 and 2006. If not this year, then next year. But I have an option to leave so I can still be in the best possible car, and it is clear that Ferrari's is one of the best."

mmm... He would be very competitive in a Ferrari that's for sure, sure Ferrari would rather have him then Felipa although they would never admit it. Doubt any one will be moving teams before the end of the season though...

alonso cannot move mid season

he has a contract for with a clause saying he leave after this season if he wants to

Who would want him... he's proven to be more whinge than bang for the buck... wherever he's been - even his second year winning in the Renault he was complaining of Fisi getting more attention... then he blames McLaren for Lewis' success.

Uh, Alonso has the most race wins and championship wins of the current crop of drivers. Sure nobody would want him

Well... we'll have to see lol... he was practically told to take his things and go at Renault because he was a primadonna there... same for McLaren...
Race wins and championship count mean nothing if you have personal issues.
Ronaldinho / Maradonna come to mind ;)

hmmm brad 2 titles for Renault which i can assure you would not have happened without alonso driving for them

im pretty sure they where happy to put up with him, dunno maybe you dont think 2 titles is not worth a bit a trouble but i do

mclaren and alonso broke down because the deal was he would be the no1 driver and that never happened

he should have been treated as number 1 because mclaren said it would be that way and it was not

Ferrari doesn't maketh the man. Felipe Massa can vouch for that.
Really? Driving for Sauber he finished 13th in 2002, 12th in 2004, 13th in 2005, then in his 1st season with Ferrari 3rd in 2006 and 4th in 2007.... As much evidence as is required proving that Ferrari maketh the man...

4th and 3rd considering its about the best car?

he should be fighting for the champ and alonso would be if he was sitting in it

would u say mclaren maketh the man?
put hamilton in a toyota and we see how well he would do

I would say that 90% of a racing drivers success is based on the vehicle he is driving and 10% is talent related. You could put G-d in a Toyota and they would still come 5th... This season Mclaren, Ferrari and BMW appear to be the front runners but my point is Massa has improved 10 places driving the Ferrari, that's a massive improvement and it's quite obviously Ferrari related... Alonso would be devastating in the Ferrari yes...

sandman if he went to mclaren he would have moved up 10 places

of course a car makes a driver but i dunno if some cars would do so well without that driver

kubica for instance, he will be a legend one day and you can see how he drives the bmw well better than heidveld
