pretty damn boring

yeah seen a few already. great stuff from an era when F1 drivers were real men and death was just a split second away! pity they don't show all the accidents. amazing how casual they were about safety back then. mind boggling!!!
hey at least those luxury yachts were something to look at. Don't get those in Bahrain
Just some clarity on the whole engine mapping thing - according to Charlie Whiting from the FIA:
What has been outlawed is the teams taking a laptop to the car after qualifying and writing new engine maps to the ECU. The drivers' ability to modify engine maps from inside the car during a race remains unaffected. Quite OK in my book; the cars are meant to be in parc ferme conditions after quali after all.
Hamilton rules out winning british GP
I cannot see hamilton staying at mclaren, he looks totally out of sorts and upset to me. Dejected. Title hopes all but gone, crap car with no prospect of it getting better. The ham is in sulk mode![]()
Almost fell asleep during the race.
Hamilton is clearly frustrated. Quite evident through his repsonses to his engineer during the race.
Engineer : "Lewis, you need to look after your tyres"
Lewis : "I cant go any slower"
Engineer : "Lewis, you need to pick up your pace"
Lewis : "I cant go any faster"

Nope, not sure why anyone would think that. McLaren picked their mapping up in the last race or three. Ferrari gained the most IMO. Silverstone might be interesting.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/formula_one/13919558.stm
Interesting to hear hamilton say the new ban may affect them more than anyone else. I thought that was how redbull were cheating hamilton?

At this point, if McLaren don't have the pace, I'd actually want Ferrari to win just to make this season a bit interesting...
I still don't get it though, they can change it after the start as far as i can see. So what difference does it actually make?
SV is boring..

Have to agree with you. I liked him last year, when he didn't lead the championship until he won it. This year, all the action is behind him. He's spent more than 80% of this season in the lead. I don't think he has had to overtake someone this year. Very sad.
If the car/driver combination has the ability to change mapping from behind the wheel nothing changes. What they can't do is physically write a different map to the ECU between quali and the race by plugging a laptop into the car.
It's not difficult.
