F1 2011 thread

The 2010 season was absolutely top-notch! Just about every race was thrilling, except for the season opener. I am eagerly awaiting the new season! :D

I'm not sure about how I feel about team-orders being allowed... I'd much rather the fastest driver wins the day, but it adds more strategic possibilities for the teams.
 
I am sure I saw towards the end of last season that we are going to get the HD feed... Sahsa Martinengo said something on those lines...
 
They definitly going to do a HD broadcast in Europe, and I think we are going to get the same BBC broadcast. I think a year or two ago it used to be ITV, and we now get the BBC broacast. I hope its coming in HD !!!! Sahsa did mention it, wether or not DSTV buys that feed or not remains to be seen.

Yeah, most people would agree with you on that one. I guess they realize that it's not so easy to prove? Well, in a way...

No they realize that 100k is peanuts to the bigger teams, you either have a rule or you don't. Use team orders and you will be banned for 3 races or let the rule state you can use team orders.

You cannot have a middle ground. Either you can or you cannot and if you cannot then the punishment should be harsh so it forces team to not do it.

He is a world Champion!! :p I agree with you, I am not a JB fan, and don't rate his pace. However, in terms of a racer, he is decent. He pulled off some sublime moves during Brazil 09 to take the title.
 
F1 HD confirmed by Sasha on 5fm this morning. Seems SuperSport will do us the honor of F1 is all its HD glory!!! but I'll wait for further details before I get too carried away.
 
Have you guys seen what the new Renault looks like?
Reminds me of the John Player Special Lotus back in the 80's. That black and gold color scheme looks fantastic

Can't wait for the season to start : Schumacher vs Alonso vs Vettel vs Kubica vs Hamilton

The Renault does look nice, but that's still last year's car. Not 100% when the next unveiling is.
