They hit wheels, Grosjean's rear right suspension broke, spun and he had to retire.
Grosjeans fault IMO as he turned into Michael.

The race itself was a snorefest. Everyone had lots to say about Hamilton on Massa last year, but I wanted to see that. I don't recall a proper overtaking maneuver the whole race long. Racers were so busy deciding how to preserve tyres that they weren't racing. I fear for the rest of the season now!

No they aren't, only when they're breaking the rules. Expect it to happen every time something you do is against the rules or marginal, it's the nature of sport.
