F1 2012 thread

He had flipping good luck too, or didn't you see the way he was shunted?

It did suck for him to win it the way it ended tho. SC for the last two laps sucked. So close for Alonso too, brilliant drive for both.

Vettel has proven again why he deserves to be champion. Two races he has had to fight his way from the back of the field and he still manages to get the job done. Any doubter that he is one of the best drivers must be pretty special.

Unlucky for the ham though. Anyways 2013 here we come!!!!!!!!

Ferrari are powerful when lights are out. i mean after the first corner Massa was 3rd and Alonso was 5th even in Austin , Abu Dhabhi , Ferrari gained places by the first lap. whats their secret ?

Felipe Massa will be unstoppable in 2013 mark my words. the man has regained form.

is Sauber better than Force India? coz Hulkenberg might have made a mistake. Force India received 50 mil pounds and they said they are going to use it for the wind something. Force India has been faster than Sauber.

Perez is not gonna last at Mclaren. he is going to be another heikki. he is not a top notch driver. The only reasons he has been on the podium is because of tyres and strategies not outright skill.

Pastor and Grosjean are bad drivers. very bad. Pastor is very costly. Grosjean just cant race.

Webber...i don't know how to describe his performance....vettel performs like he has wings then Webber has his moments, he will never be world Champion.

MSC why did he come back ?

Mclaren was the best car in terms of winning races but the reliability was the worst and their Drivers were involved in too many accidents. Lewis could have taken the championship.

I don't know what made Lewis sign with Merc but he might be in for some hard time. i hope Brawn has something up his sleeve.

On Perez again he is going to be number 2 driver.

Kimi was Superb. ( he got lost yesterday :) ) he car is not a winning car but if he is to return to Ferrari or given a Mclaren he will mostly definitely win more races.

Now you all say Ferrari was slow but i think they were okay. they were definitely slower that Mclaren and red bull but managed to out qualify both on a couple of occasions. Ferrari was faster than Williams , Force India and the like. In Racing Ferrari is up there with the red bulls and Mclarens.

Indian GP was the most boring............

in 2008 at some point he actually thought he was the world champion.

Yes, and 2008 was his one shot. He won't have another. Ferrari will bow to the will of Alonso, just as they did for years with Schumacher. They're paying him too much not to.

I think if massa was doing better than alonso ferrari and alonso would back him. Massa is a good driver and he had his one chance but should ferrari get a pole/winning car next season and massa gives alonso a pomping they will back him.

He is only the second driver because he has driven so poorly for the most part of the season.

They will start backing Alonso if Massa is mathematically out of contention. you cant slow down a good driver.
2007 season Lewis was getting paid 500k pounds and Alonso was defending champion but all drivers were equal upto the last race.

Great season, one of the best in a longtime!! Great win for Vettel and Redbull/Renault!! There's no denying Vettels class!!

He had his chance; he is now a Ferrari no. 2. Ask Irvine and Barrichello, they'll tell you all about it...

Things are always fair at Ferrari. Kimi was Defending Champion in 2008 but they let Massa race him and Massa lost narrowly. don't a mention Barichello coz he is a Webber (or webber is a barichello) they cant perform according to the car. was Barichello number 2 at Brawn when button won ? was Button favoured ?

If Massa was leading the championship, I have no doubt Alonso would be asked to play ball. I doubt Alonso would have done so though.

Alonso got a very undeserved 2nd place in the race and championship, the douche should have come last.

To all you Alonso fans out there! Take that MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Undeserved? 3rd, sometimes 4th fastest car and the only reason he lost the title was because of other people's mistakes (Grosjean's kamikaze attack in Belgium and Kimi trying to place his car where there was no room in Japan).

Don't feed the trolls :D

The driver that almost lucked his way into a championship. Considering the fortunes of the drivers around him that one hit in SPA was nothing. Japan was on himself, he drove into Raikkonen, squeezed him out and hoped he backed off/go onto the grass. IMO he should have gotten a penalty had he not DNF. "All the time you have to leave a space" Go watch Japan again, and the rest of the season to see how many points he inherited from other drivers DNF's and team blunders.

Disappointment.
