F1 2012 thread

Coulthard was discussing it before Q1, apparently the teams have been fighting for it, but because of the horizontal suspension setup it's not safe, as the tyre caters for about 50% of the "give" in the suspension but now it's on the cards for the future.

I heard something different, i heard something like 90% is through the front tyre wall and teams do not want to use the system because they have only just come to terms with the tyre's.

I never heard that, but it is on the cards for the future right?

Highly doubtful dude, they have invested so much money getting the cars designed and performing. Now i cannot really see how with the financial cost and the nightmare of having to scrap everything you know about your car.

What i can tell you is tomorrow is going to be one of the best gp's of the season. Routing for koybayashi and kimi. Perez possibly considering how well he protects his tyres.

Watch out for hamilton though, pass master and a car setup for the race. Jenson's time may look good and i am happy he got pole but i think he knows he cannot win the race. He never gets off the line well so i can foresee button injured into the first corner or in 4th-5th place.

All good and well destroying everyone in quali but spa is about race setup. Starting 7th isn't that bad.

More than likely hamilton will beat button tomorrow.

Now chuck in some changeable conditions and it's on!!!!!!!!!

Unless Grosjean can do something about it lol
That was a noob move by Grosjean but I'm sure he and the Ham will sort it out. A racing incident. I feel for everyone who lost out, especially Grosjean - he's going to get some serious flack after that move.

Was Maldonado's pedal connected to the lights?!

Oh lol... Maldonado... it was just a matter of time! I want to see that Hulkenberg move on Raikkonen. And Schumi doing well... Nice!

That start by Maldonado was either perfect, very lucky or dodgy somehow... I'm going for the (latter) conspiracy theory...

Did you see Charlie Whiting shaking his head at Pastor's start from the race directors box? :D

Anyway he's being investigated, hopefully gets a season ban.

Sounded like Kimi said he has no 5th. Lol Killa, remind me never to use you as reference for a bet :p
Not your fault I know.

Agree lol. They need to make something up if it was legal :D

Cmon Button you beauty! That tight wetsuit has done something awesome for your racing.

Realising he had left his wetsuit behind in his hotel, he borrowed one from his lingerie model girlfriend Jessica Michibata.

"I decided to try and squeeze into my girlfriend's which felt OK until I got into the water and then it tightened up in certain areas. So that was the end of my race because I had a panic attack in the water," grinned Button.

K, now the redbulls need to take each other out and I'll be happier :)

Pastor Maldonado's F1 career in one picture.

Looking at that start again in slowmo - it was clean... flipping lucky / good reactions. That would go down as the best start i've ever seen, despite his cowboy driving style.

He never gets any love here, and it's not over 'till the fat lady sings BUT, I think Coultard said it best when he called Button's drive "dominant". :D
