Just because two people know the truth does not make them soulmates. I am just glad there are other sensible people out there.
The only reason Alonso came 2nd is due to pure luck, not skill. Vettel would have taken him by at least 50 points if it hadn't been for all his bad luck, not just during the last 2 races but also earlier in the Season.

Lucked? So him finishing every race he never retired from in the points, keeping his nose clean, was luck? I call that a reliable, not fast, car and good driving.
Raikkonen was getting squeezed, a not uncommon racing tactic, so why did he insist on staying in there? What did he think was going to happen? The car in front would slow down and allow him to pass?
He had a 40-point lead before Spa. If you can't see how those two DNFs helped Vettel close the gap and ultimately take the lead in the championship then that is your problem. Fact remains, Alonso finishes those races, he is world champion. And not because he got lucky but because he kept his car on the track and Ferrari provided him with a reliable car.

Yes, but he is lucky that he had a reliable car. And he is lucky the other drivers just moved out of his way and let him finish on the podium. Don't you know that Ferrari's team orders are so far-reaching that they can ask other drivers to get out of the way?

I don't like Ferrari or Mclaren, but must say that Ferrari had the more reliable car this season. But a car being taken out or breaking down is part of F1. The person with the most points win, irrespective of how its done.
And wrt to Vettel, if he didn't have the alternator problems there is another 50pts for him. So people saying if Alonso wasn't taken out he would of won the championship. I am not so sure. And LUCK, that is also part of the game. Not saying Vettel doesn't deserve it, he is a good driver and maybe he was luckier than some this season.
So WELL DONE Vettel and next season should be another hum dinger between Vettel and Alonso and maybe Massa. Don't see Hamilton featuring next season. Unless there is major improvements in the car
Lol, keep dreaming. Vettel 4 wins, Alonso 3 wins. I don't even care about Vettel, nor do I support him, but he simply was the better driver. That's why he, not Alonso, is world champion. Alonso is a looser and he deserved nothing.

Exactly, so all you Alonso fan boys get out. The same arguments carry for Vettel. And on top of it all I have not seen Alonso driving from last place far into the points over and over again. Vettel did it, no matter what you threw at him.

You just lost all credibility right there. You don't even know how many races each driver won. 5 for Vettel, 3 for Alonso. So either you don't know what you are talking about or hardly paid attention to what was happening in races.
Anyway, Alonso's 13 podium finishes accounted for 240 points while Vettels superior amount of wins could only see him amass 209 points from podium finishes.
And in closing, the Ferrari's were consistently slower than the McLarens and Red Bulls and on occasion threatened by the likes of Lotus, Sauber & Mercedes. Alonso lucked into nothing and had his car running way above where it should have been. He scored twice the amount of points as Massa did.
Vettel won his 3rd title and good for him, but to say Alonso was unworthy of being a triple world champion himself is utter tosh.

Alonso's a boob. So's Vettel, just a lesser one... The person who should have, by virtue of their showing on the track, won the 2012 crown is Hamilton.

Vettel proved he is a worthy champion, drove from last place twice in one race to get a podium and then drove from last place again to get 6th place. Those two races defined the championship. Lucky or not he won the championship based on his amazing skill and alonso finished a close second because he is amazing as well. Hamilton well he was out of the running long time ago so saying he should win by virtue is idiotic.
You win by finishing and getting points. Alonso and vettel did both and ended up fighting for the championship. Both had some unlucky moments and it was a tight amazing end to what has been a great season.
Nobody can deny that vettel and alonso are the best followed closely by hamilton. Actually all 3 are the best but hamilton just didn't perform as well as he should have this season in a car that was very good on most tracks.

Correction, he won 5 times. If anything this only makes my argument stronger. Alonso did not deserve the title.

Take Hamilton's performance on track over the course of the year. He drove superbly, and made practically no serious errors I can recall. Bad luck and others blundering into him cost him the title - in terms of individual performance he was the pick of the bunch.

The biggest boob is still Alonso, close tie with Maldenado, Perez and Grosjean though
