F1 2013 thread

Button did the same thing a while back. Must make you feel like a chop when you do that...

Missed the first hour. :(

What did I miss?

Everyone started on intermediates. Alonso bumped Vettel on the start, broke his front wing and tried to keep driving. It broke of completely on the start of the second lap and he was out. Vettel stopped first for slicks and everyone followed after that. Track has been drying ever since.

You missed Hamilton going to say Hello to his old team, so funny!!

...and Alonso not pitting for a broken front wing at the end of lap 1, and subsequently spearing off the track in turn one when it broke and wedged under the car.

Alonso driving past the pit entrance with a damaged front wing (hanging by a thread). He was stupidly trying to hang on for track conditions to change, so he could change tyres too. Wing got stuck under the car and the car got stuck in the gravel.

EDIT: Yeah, what they said ^^

Thanks guys. Alonso's ego does get the better of him every now and then, but it's also what makes him a great driver.

Did Hamilton honestly pull into the McLaren pit? :D

Vettel is crying about Webber being too slow. Why then doesn't he show us his incredible speed and pass him?

Hilarious...

Not very clever strategy by Mercedes. I thought they would have been saving fuel during the first part of the race. Vettel showed that he is above team orders. Going to be a a very intense rivalry between Webber and Vettel from now on.

Fk team orders, hamilton i hope you know when you sit up on that podium you are undeserving of it.

It was easier to let hamilton allow the better driver to pass him and then limp home. Why must rosberg take a second seat when they are both as good and as each other. The slower car should be the one that sits behind not in front.

Pathetic hamilton and pathetic team.

Anyone who has ever question vettel must be wondering why they did. Race FFS it's f1.

Holy ****balls, Vettel's a dick. If I were Webber I would've speared the little ****er straight off the track.

Don't think it was a strategy error from Merc; Coulthard mentioned in commentary that Hamilton might've been underfuelled before the start, and that sounds perfectly plausible.

That is called racing bud, you know formula 1 is about racing? It was truly magnificent to see that battle and the better driver won the battle

It's a team sport; the more arrogant driver won, and that's nothing to be proud of.

But then I also have to take into account who I'm talking to. I've come to know that there's a fairly easy way to judge whether you're right on a given matter - just don't agree with killadoobie, because he doesn't ever know what the **** he's talking about.

It's a team sport agreed but it is also a racing sport, so naturally you race. Vettel isn't a ***** who will sit back and take orders. He is a 3 time world champion and he showed it today. You go and race to win.

Hamilton and merc boy yea if f1 becomes like that we may as well watch paint dry.
