Confirmed kimi is replacing him or perhaps alonso. Not sure. Ricardo confirmed for redbull.

Did alonso really say that? look it was idiotic to bring in massa and allow vettel fresh air to bang out some quick laps but at the same time ferrari isn't a one man team. They want points. Sure alonso winning the title would be great but ferrari want the title or second.

Kimi to ferrari partnering Alonso. Ladies get your handbags ready!

Good for ferrari good for kimi

Really good move for Kimi and Alonso, but come to think of it. What is Ferrari going to do in 2-3yrs time, when Alonso and Raikonnen come to the end of there careers.

Thought you would like an experienced and maybe less experienced driver, rather than having 2 mediocre drivers.

Isn't Alonso's contract up end of next year? Me thinks the prancing horse have taken Kimi on in case Alonso does leave at the end of 2014.

Good news, the two best drivers in Formula 1 (IMHO) racing for my team next year. :D

Both of them have the ability to drag an average car to places it shouldn't be, here's hoping Ferrari provides them with something special to drive next year.

I'm a tad worried about the whole two Alpha drivers at one team (because let's face it, neither of them have a shortage of ego along with their talent), historically it hasn't worked but I think as long as they can avoid taking each other out they should manage just fine.

Lets hope that Lotus get a good replacement. They have the ability to be a damn good team. I wonder if there is any chance of Kubica coming back? I feel he is one of the reason Lotus progressed to where they were before Kimi got his seat... Be funny to see Massa go to Lotus, get a better car next year and beat the both of them.... Turbo engines... can't wait.

Mediocre? Alonso is 2nd place in the championship. Kimi is 4th in a mediocre team.

Maybe I'm understanding you wrong?

What I meant was if both Kimi and Alonso should leave at the same time and honestly don't see much better drivers than them, excluding Vettel and Hamilton.

Maybe it works differently in F1, but you usually have a good person person and we will help out/mentor the other less experienced driver. Hope I am making sense.

Actually i don't think the lotus is mediocre. They have been pretty competitive but suffer the same problem as ferrari, one lap pace is no good, leaves them 5th-10th on the grid mostly. Alonso could be winning races if ferrari could get a one lap and race car instead of just a race where alonso has to fight his way to second or third. They launch off the line better than any other team. Imagine qualifying pole or even 2nd or 3rd.

Maybe not better, but Hulkenberg, Bianchi & Vergne are a couple young drivers that could be pretty good given a chance.

Kimi is joining Ferrari because Lotus are struggling to pay him
Former world champion Kimi Raikkonen says that the reason why he will leave Lotus and race for Ferrari next year instead is because he has not been paid by his current team. The 33-year-old has not been paid at all so far this season.

He is on a basic salary of eight million euros with a bonus of 50,000 euros a point and has therefore earned 14.7m euros (£12.6m).

He earned a total of 18.35m euros (£15.8m) last year, when the team were also late in paying him.

Anyone wondered if Massa is going to play nicely at Ferrari in the last bit of the season? Or is he going to go flat out to prove he can still drive, so as to secure a spot with another good team? I know he said he is a "team player" ... but at the end of the day, he has to look after himself.

Massa should just retire and give others a chance. i hope hulkenberg drives for Lotus and a young driver gets hired by sauber , i think they already done that.
