They got so lucky though, even alonso admitted it. I cannot believe lotus did not call kimi in for fresh boots, he could have gone for the win or a podium for sure. Poor from them, stupid mistake. You lose nothing when you stop. He was a sitting duck for webber, hamilton and alonso.

I really hope f1 does not go back to tires that last entire gp's. Extremely boring. Why didn't they just keep the tires from last season? Created one of the finest seasons ever. The burst tires i suspect was due to the new kurbs put in at silverstone.

2 or 3 safety cars surely negated the effects he suffered? So he was unlucky but at the same time he got lucky. So let's see he was unlucky his tire exploded, he was lucky there were two or three safety cars. So in the end when lewis burst his tires for the most part he was hoping for a 9th or 10th. Lewis must be thanking his lucky stars along with webber and alonso, at least alonso admitted it was lucky to be standing on the podium. It isn't a bad thing but hamilton didn't exactly drive from last to 4th on raw pace, webber didn't go from 17th to second because he was a beast.

The safety cars just aided their recoveries. Magnificent results no doubt and great drives but alonso summed it up well. Glad to see nico is showing f1 what he can do given the right car.

I really feel that Pirelli are ruining formula 1. The focus is solely on tyres these days. Having said that, I dont think they are doing their company image much good.
