Agree, 2 F1 threads in a tech forum... just a tad overkill. One will die a natural death.

Not necessarily. MyBroadband is a bit more than a tech forum. If we can have massive thread about the Delta Motor Corporation Opel Monza COTY 1991, then we can have a successful thread about anything.

Sebastian Vettel to leave Red Bull as at 31 December 2014. Probably going to Ferrari.

Red Bull have signed Daniil Kvyat.

Alonso to leave Ferrari...

Qualifying is going to be more important than ever today....

It is being forecast that a typhoon will hit Suzuka on race day.

If that happens and they manage to do a few laps behind the safety car then the Qualifying grid positions will determine the final race positions, as a half-points race.

Hi guys,

It seems our fun here has been curtailed. Sadly, as this has been a most entertaining thread.

I'll be moving to the new F1 thread as of tomorrow.

Take care.

For the love of F1

Butthurt?

The UK listings say the race starts at 7am, so 8am in SA.

F1 driver Bianchi unconscious, taken to hospital after severe crash

Formula One driver Jules Bianchi has been transported to a nearby hospital and is unconscious following an accident during the Japanese Grand Prix.
The 25-year-old Marussia driver was battling for a spot in the top 15 when he slid off track at the Dunlop curves and collided with a JCB recovery vehicle that was recovering Adrian Sutil's stricken car.
Race officials immediately halted the event, meaning Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took the victory ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg and Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel.
Celebrations were muted as the paddock received word of Bianchi's condition.
The incident started when a wet track caught Sutil out at Lap 43, sending the Sauber driver into the barriers. Marshalls immediately began to recover the damaged car while the race was yellow-flagged.
As the recovery was taking place, Bianchi went off in the same corner and hit the heavy piece of machinery. The Frenchman was placed in an ambulance where he was then taken to the hospital with a police escort.
More to follow.

The driver steward at Suzuka, Mika Salo, has reported that the 25-year-old went nose-first into and underneath the trackside vehicle that was recovering Adrian Sutil’s crashed car.

In the second pic satanboy posted, it looks like the air intake behind the driver's head is not in place anymore. This could be extremely serious.
