F1 2014 thread

Pity about Massa and Perez. Vettle on the podium, and Red Bull winning again for a change!

Terrible production...we were watching the crowd in the stands while racers were about to overtake each other.

Catch one of the Mercs? not a chance. I will tell you why. 1- Monaco flattered RB because of the nature of the track, hence the gap was not big. 2- Lewis lost loads of time because he had something in his eye and that is why RB caught up. Granted RB was better at looking after its tired but the Mercs were miles ahead.

Eat your words!

OFFICIAL: High-voltage control electronics failure lead to permanent loss of MGU-K drive on both cars in today's race #F1 #CanadianGP

Temperatures maybe? But Ros was in clean air so would expect him to be running cooler than Ham. Would be interesting to see exactly failure point relative to the other car.

Awesome race.

Technically challenged every driver, skill shone through where it was presented.

My driver of the day goes to Daniel and Massa, Dan for winning the first race and Massa for having fought so well the entire race, never mind the non finish.

Loser of the day was Perez, what an idiot. He gets his first and prob only chance this year to challenge for a win and he does nothing with it, and then takes out Massa.

5 grid penalty not enough.

Nice to see a different winner, though looking at FP and Quali times and fastest race laps I think this was more of a once off.

This i'll agree with this. Very bad.

Whoever was managing this process must have been off sick. The cameras were all over the place. I have watched 100's of races but this one often I could not keep up. Everywhere and then nowhere.

Not enough. I'm not one for wiping a driver off the grid when he makes a mistake, it happens, these guys have split seconds to make huge decisions and sometimes get things wrong.

But when someone does it over and over again he needs a big slap on the head. If that was a solid wall there could have been serious injury, something Massa knows very well and Perez does not seem to take seriously.

Austria next on the cards in two weeks.

Arguably one of the prettiest tracks in Europe and on the calendar, it returns after an 11 year absence and now called the Red Bull Ring (formerly Osterreichring).

Michael was last winner in '03.
