Crofty had a shocker again. I don't know if he is getting old but he keeps calling cars wrong. He called Russell Hamilton all the way down the straight after the Max 360. Hamilton has so much yellow on fhe car/helmet, how????

He was also rambling on about crap when on-screen passing was happening. He really should be replaced with someone better.

I like him. I really do. I love him and Martin Brundle together.

But I just cannot handle the mistakes he is making more and more often. I feel this year it has been way more than previous years.

Martin is still sharp and on the ball with his spotting and commentary.

Few weeks back I was on holiday and had to watch the race on DSTV. Never mind the commentary, the whole race they have these ads where the screen go small, what a shitshow.
The pre and post race shows also seem more informative on F1tv, dstv coverage seems just a bunch of clowns talking BS

I've mentioned before that I watch the Sky's pre and post talking/buildup/interviews but for the race, I watch F1TV with the international commentary because the HD quality is SO much better than DSTV Now and dish+Explora quality.

I was just watching a show in dtsv because a friend features in it, I **** you not when I tell you that there were like 5 ad breaks, with anything from 6 to 8 ads per ad break. Dtsv is fcked in the head to give ads for what they charge.

The dstv dish version looked dull and washed out as it is every time.

I switched to the cricket. Perfect picture

Ham is better with his tyres than Russell which is a major factor.

In Russell's defense he had to fight very hard straight off the bat due to having two fasters cars around him. Luckily for him those cars are managed by clowns and driven by fools.

Well that aged well.
Good for them. Ferrari stuffed up Le Clerc again, and Sainz never got going. FWIW it's kind of true. Checo had his lap time deleted, then reinstated when he'd gone out again and encountered traffic.
50/50 to being right.

That said, the Mercs couldn't catch Verstappen at all, nor could Russell defend against the Ferrari or RBR. They've made progress, but still not as quick.

Happy?

Red Bull planned to start Hungarian GP on hard F1 tyres

Red Bull has revealed that it originally planned to start Formula 1's Hungarian Grand Prix on the hard tyres,
in a move that would almost certainly have derailed its victory charge.

With Max Verstappen starting down in 10th on the grid after his engine problem in qualifying, and team-mate Sergio Perez one place further back, Red Bull's simulations had shown that the best route to deliver a good result was to have a long first stint on the hard.

But difficulties that both drivers had in switching even the soft tyre on en route to the grid prompted Red Bull to scrap its initial idea.

Toto seems to be giving hints for the second half of the season. Possible party mode again? Surely Merc will do something about the deficit. Russell mentioned yesterday that going back to the sidepod car will be actually make them slower so that is out.
