I don't think it will be up to Lewis either. This is likely to be decided around board level.

If they do decide to leave as is I hope there's a concerted push to tighten up the regs so that can't be abused again like they were yesterday.

Hope the FIA come out and issue a statement about what they going to do going forward to ensure the integrity of the competition.

Most definitely, that is the crux of the issue and there definitely needs to be some changes. Yesterday was a monumental clusterfukk but the race director and stewards have been poor on a number of other occasions this year as well.

Yup and it started even at the first race.
 
Max has confirmed he'll be taking the number 1 on his car. I wonder if Checo will take 2? I liked it back when the numbers were determined by the previous years results.

Don't think checo has the right to 2, think the only "reserved" number is 1

Nobody remembers. Probably Vettel. Hamilton stuck with 44 just like Ronaldo stuck with 7 and Rossi with 46. It's a brand.

For Verstappen to give up 33 in favour of 1 (which he won't be able to keep) in these times shows a lack of foresight in my opinion. I'd be out there getting copyrights on V33 etc but that's just me.

Agreed, especially as his brand is 33 and all his merchandise is 33. It's not really just a car number.

Wouldn't Perez be #4 then? Hamilton #2 (he won't), Bottas #3?
