Great race. Wet start towards drying track never fails to disappoint.

Red Bull were on fire and their 2nd gear wet start once again blew the rest away.

Sadly, Charles showed that he is still not at Max's level yet. Last year, Max was on rails without mistakes and when he did make one, he was on track for the quali lap of the season when even Alonso was watching and couldn't believe the purple sectors - would have been a lap of the year had it not been the last corner wall shunt.

If Charles wants to be world champion, there is no room for driver errors like that. Him and Ferrari got greedy for 1 point where there are still 19 races to go!
Max binned it more than once last year. Charles got back on his horse and finished with points.

Did you forget all the silly mistakes Max use to make?
Before last year, nope, there were many.

Last year, I can't recall one silly mistake, but am happy to be reminded. I recall a lot of coming togethers, mostly with Lewis, but unforced errors? Which races?

On his own? Which races, I've clearly forgotten?
Own or not, he had choices, he made bad ones.
LeClerc is unique in that he admits fault. One of the reasons I rate him highly as a sportsman.

If we go back to my original post, it referenced silly mistakes. Today's by Leclerc was just that.

Incidents with Max last year were not mistakes, they were all intentional. Like it or not. (Excluding the quali prang in Saudi Arabia).

Max used to make the same unforced mistakes many times. But to become world champion, you need to iron that out and he certainly did do just that last year.

He DNF'd deliberately then. He got lucky in the last race. Very lucky.

My driver of the day is not an actual driver. It’s a marshal, the marshal that waved a blue flag for Lewis to get out the way.
Part of the day: Bottas's front wing. Just watched the Race in 30. How it survived giving Ricciardo anal, I'll never know.

I won't say it was a silly mistake, more just Charles being Naive about it. He made a bad judgement call to chase that 2nd place, and then the team made a bad judgement call as well to bring him in. He could have completed the race on those tires, because Lando was never going to catch him .

Bit of a snooze fest, thanks to most of the coverage being focused on the GOAT chasing down 13th position. It's not like there were any other cars on the track...
Lol yeh that was just a bit stupid. While that was happening, Charles was inching closer to Perez, but they kept with Lewis

Taking so much curb was a driver error

He'll that was dominant from the Bulls. Honeymoon is over for Ferrari. Them and everyone else playing catch up again.
Well certain cars always performed better on some tracks than others. So a bit early to come to this conclusion. And more important. This whole weekend was wet, then dry then damp. And teams did not have much time to get setup right. I bet Ferrari thought we will have more rain in the race and their car was setup for that scenario.
