He's not really making a case for himself. Sits there in second pulling away from Russell but losing time against Verstappen by the lap.

Why not sit on his ass within a 2sec gap in case Verstappen makes a mistake or show them you're faster. Plenty of drivers have gone on to ignore teams and pushed to pass their team mates.

If you want to win you have to go and try finish 1st.
