It's the problem with being a hater, your dislike for the target clouds your judgement and leads you to make baseless and foolhardy claims.

I have no doubt Russell has the potential to be a multiple world champion, but he isn't "far superior" to Hamilton, the statistical (and arguable) GOAT.

I also think Russell is a potential champion, at this rate I'd bet he'd probably win one before Clucky or Sainz actually.

They have 39 points less than after 13 rounds in 2017, 4 mechanical retirements more and the same number of wins.

So much for Binotto rebuilding Ferrari over '19, '20 and '21. They're somehow worse at reliability and strategy as back then.


Team has a lot of work to do, which is made even more difficult thanks to the budget cap and with the progress of Merc who should be right up with the frontrunners by the start of next season at the latest.

I actually cannot believe how much Ferrari flaming there is on Tik Tok and Twitter this week. So many people can see how badly Ferrari is doing Ferrari things, yet Binotto is still giving it the big "There is no reason to change anything". WTF man!

In the same machinery, which driver has out-practiced, out-qualified and out-raced the other all season?

Leclerc beat him 14 times last year and he beat Leclerc 8 times. Few no points for Leclerc is the only reason he beat him by 5 points.

Yeah, that is how these things work. You have to be able to win (or in his case actually complete a race) when it counts. No use being a faster driver if you don't complete the race.

So my point is you are wrong.

Is your contention that because George has more points, he is a vastly superior driver to Lewis? That's not how racing works.

If it was, people wouldn't still call Alonso one of the best on the grid (even though he is displaying his prowess).

George is having a fantastic season, Lewis not as much. Partly bad luck, party mistakes. Your argument is severely flawed though.

More points. Better practice session record. Better qualifying record. Actually better across every possible metric since they've been in the same car

Agreed, as I said, he's having a good season.

Do you genuinely think he is a "vastly superior" driver to Hamilton though?

I think he's had a stellar career, and done fantastically well in a car that was in a different class to anything else on the grid for a large part of that. Now fair enough, the level of competition was out of his hands. He hasn't though always shone when under competitive pressure. I think it is disappointing that there wasn't more genuine competition for the bulk of his career which would've largely settled the big question marks against him.

16 Pole positions against 1 of Sainz says you are wrong, in almost half as many races also.
5 Wins against 1 says you are wrong
Lets not forget that Sainz's only win was just because Ferrari stuffed Leclerc, again. You know that race where all the commentators could not believe that they don't let Leclerc pass the slow Sainz and they only made the call on lap 32 of 54.
