Why Gasly is so livid… tractor on track.

The driver quotes...

“Is it not clear that we don’t want to see ever a crane on the track?” he said to race engineer Hugh Bird.
“God – what the? – what is this tractor?” he exclaimed in shock. “What is this tractor on track?
“I passed next to it, like… This is unacceptable! What has happened? I can’t believe this…”
“Next time, they should inform us if there’s a fricking tractor on the road,” said the Aston Martin driver. “I know we’re under Safety Car, but in turn 12, there’s this…”
Nicholas Latifi complained he saw “the ****ing crane on track there” as drivers passed by. “It’s not great in these conditions. Very silly, actually.”

They should've just moved the race to start an hour earlier
F1 is owned by Liberty Media remember.....
TV schedules are King. They probably told the FIA that the schedules are fixed as the Air Time had already been sold.
I do agree though and channels that carry the prerace could have accommodated it, the rest could have recived a delayed feed.

Meh, this is a waste of time. Even if they do race there won't be enough of it to make it interesting when it comes to pit stop strategy etc.

There is a points-gap of 104 between Max and Charles. With 4 races to go after today, there are 104 points on offer. I think that Max has won 11 and Charles 5.

Did this mean that Max will be world champ if the race did not resume?

Why does everyone complain about the tractor on the track today but not every other race weekend when Latifi drives a tractor on track? Is it just because he is a pay driver?

No, the points will carry forward un-changed to the next race in Austin.

So 45 minutes of racing including safety cars etc... more like 35-40.
